Penny Vozniak is a producer, director, and cinematographer of non-fiction films. She has a background in experimental photography and a BA (Hons) in English Literature.
Her first film, Despite the Gods, premiered in Toronto at Hot Docs and has screened at over 40 international film festivals.
Vozniak’s side project is creating single-take dream-themed video art, and in 2012 she was short-listed for London’s Shots Magazine New Director Award.
She has taught masterclasses in non-fiction filmmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts, Stockholm International Film Festival, and Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh. Her films have received funding from Screen Australia, the Australian Film Commission, and National Geographic.
Vozniak is now in post-production on Ordinary Wonderlands, and she has recently returned from filming Love Bomb in Northern Nigeria. She is currently helming the theatrical documentary department at Quail Entertainment in Sydney and Los Angeles.
